Ulet's Digital Storytelling


Welcome to my digital story telling, which is based on my piece entitled, The Best Birthday Ever.  Taken from my Writing portfolio, The Best Birthday Ever is a descriptive piece which encapsulates the experience of a birthday girl at one of her favourite spots, the beach. I do hope that I impress you with this one. Special thanks to Jahim Etienne and George Alexander for helping this project come to fruition.

    Ylet, your happy mood clearly rubbed off on me because I danced throughout your entire introduction. This is a brilliant descriptive piece, I was able to paint a vivid picture in my mind of Maria's experience. Your choice of adjectives, intonation, background music and graphics really made your writing come alive. I did not anticipate such a twist in your piece because of that happy mood you set in your title, introduction and in the beginning of your piece. I predicted that happy mood throughout then BOOM, that happy feeling turned out to be distressful. I must commend you, this was beautifully crafted. Job well done!

    NB: Am looking forward to reading that first book of yours in the near future.

      Thank you much Tamara. I am glad that I was able to impress you with this one. As for writing books, I am not certain about that although I have a passion for writing. But who knows I may just reconsider.

    Excellent Piece Ylet! I enjoyed this piece and the soothing background sound. Additionally, this piece can be used to teach various content area subjects across the primary curriculum. I also want to encourage you to continue writing and putting your good work into practice!
