Title:  The Inner Planet

Written and narrated by:  Michele Clercent

Purpose:  This poem focuses on the order and characteristics of the following planets:  Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars.

Justification:  The piece was penned as part of my writing portfolio for Promoting Writing in the Primary Grades.  It was written with grade three students in mind who are required to learn about the planets in Science and Technology.  In addition, poetry is an excellent instructional tool.
